About Us

Scone Grammar School is an Anglican Co-Educational School for positive, flourishing learners from Preschool to Year 12. Based in the Upper Hunter and part of Newcastle Anglican, our Christian faith and values lay a safe, caring foundation.

Our school is an Anglican School in the Diocese of Newcastle where our core Christian values are lived each day in our community life together. We value learning, the development of the whole child, fostering the well-being of the individual; and seeking to grow students of good character who will contribute meaningfully to society.

Our Vision
We are a leading Christian, learning community delivering excellence in all that we do.

Our Mission
Scone Grammar School's mission is to embed a Christian foundation for positive, flourishing learners through:
Innovative education

Diverse opportunities to grow in a safe, enriching environment

Caring for and celebrating each individual

Developing leaders who strive to serve their community

Our Motto
The School takes its motto, crest and school colours from the Scone Grammar School that operated from 1887 to 1917.

“Floreat Scona” literally means “may Scone flourish”.

For the School to flourish, the individuals in it must also flourish. Excellence means using our skills and capabilities to the full. Our motto urges us to truly flourish by aiming for excellence in all that we do.
