Our Year 11 Hospitality students have been brushing up on barista skills for their coffee unit in the Hospitality course this week.  This training is also in preparation to take over the Grammar Grind in Term 4.

Much to the delight of our SGS Staff and Year 12 students, orders were taken, and coffee, tea and hot chocolate drinks were delivered throughout our campus.  It was a great learning and revising opportunity for our Hospitality students as they discussed feedback provided by our lucky recipients.

Hospitality is offered as an elective subject for Year 11 and 12 and is a VET registered course. At the completion of this subject, these students will receive a Certificate II in Kitchen Operations. This qualification provides a pathway to work in various hospitality settings, such as: restaurants; hotels; catering operations; and cafes.
