Our Head of Primary, Mr Damien Saunders, describes this week as one of his favourite weeks of the year. He really enjoys welcoming new families into our SGS Community as our 2021 Kindergarten students like Billie and Luka, spend some time with one of our Kindergarten teachers, Miss Jessica Southwell or Mrs Julie Jones, while Mr Saunders spends time with their parents.

Getting to know each of these students as we start to welcome them into our community is important for so many reasons. We want them to feel familiar and comfortable with their new surroundings, but we also want to get to know each of them – what lights them up, their strengths and their interests, so that we can continue the best learning path for them as they transition from Preschool to Kindergarten.

Enrolments for 2021 are still open and we encourage families to take as many of these opportunities as possible as we continue to familiarise students with our SGS Community. We’re looking forward to welcoming our 2021 Kinder students and their families again on 28 October for their official Orientation Day, where they will get to know even more about life in Kindergarten here at Scone Grammar School.
