Appropriately timed following R U OK Day this week, a group of our Year 11 Students: Alyssa, Fletcher, Hannah and Tyler announced a Student Wellbeing Room, which will launch next term and fits very comfortably in our Grammar Cares Pillar, supporting our Positive Flourishing Learning Community. Thanks to Where There’s A Will, this team of young leaders attended the National Student Leadership Summit in Adelaide earlier this year. They came back inspired, supported and connected. So many of their collaborative strengths have been drawn on, along with their strengthened learning muscles.

The creation of this Wellbeing Room epitomizes Positive Leadership – ways in which leaders enable positive performance. Learning these Positive Leadership skills also form the basis of our Grammar Leads Pillar – developing positive leaders who strive to serve their community.

Our Principal, Mr Paul Smart was thrilled to present an Act of Humanity Award for this concept, created by Where there’s a Will. This award recognizes: kindness; love; and care for others, showing social intelligence and awareness of our SGS Student Community.
