The Australian Geography Competition is a contest for Australian secondary school students, assessing their geographical knowledge and skills. The Competition aims to encourage student interest in geography and to reward student excellence.

In April this year several students in Years 7 to 10 completed in the Australian Geography Competition. They were given the opportunity to test their geographical skills and knowledge against students from all around Australia. Unfortunately, due to the impacts of COVID-19 at the time the competition was conducted not all students in the secondary school were able to participate.

We have recently received the results and were pleased with how our students performed. The results are as follows:

High distinction certificates were awarded to:
• Samuel Barry- Year 10
• Mitchell Baker- Year 7
• Olivia MacCallum- Year 7

Certificated of Distinction were gained by:
• Adam Chesworth- Year 10
• Chester Hall- Year 10
• Charlotte Kelly- Year 10
• Maxwell Seale- Year 10
• Braeden Wallace- Year 8
• Jashua Chopin- Year 7

Credits certificates were awarded to:
• Hamish Guiana- Year 10
• Tarun Nagaraj- Year 10
• Bridie Crowe- Year 9
• Matthew Edwards- Year 8
• Hannah Glenn- Year 8
• Peter MacCallum- Year 8
• Hamish O’Brien- Year 8
