By Di Gillett, P&F President

As some of you may have noticed, our new playground agility trail is up and running with students from Primary and Secondary uitlising it in the first few weeks of school. Thank you to our SGS P&F members for their dedication and passion in planning this and thank YOU, our parents and friends for supporting our fundraising efforts to finance this wonderful addition to our school playground.

In the last 2 and a half years, our P&F have completed the Primary Playground upgrade, new uniforms for our school netball teams, mix masters for our Hospitality Kitchen, welcoming gifts for our Kindergarten students, gifts for our Year 6 & 12 students and most recently our playground agility trail/ninja course.

As a P&F we pride ourselves on putting every dollar raised back into our school promptly and in a meaningful way to have a positive impact on our entire school community.  Our biggest fundraiser is our SGS Fete. Mark Sunday May 10th in your diary for this year. Thank you to Ilona Baldyga and Lorraine Bull for their hard work in coordinating our fete for 2020. They have sent out a note in SkoolBag requesting help. Every little bit of help impacts on the end result.

We would LOVE to welcome new members. Our meetings are every second Tuesday of the month during the school term. We meet at 6pm in the school library and never stay longer than one hour. Many of us, (myself included) also bring our children along.

During our meetings, we communicate any feedback, concerns or wishes from the parent community and the School keeps us informed on school life. The best part is the connection and collaborating on projects  that will benefit our children for many years to come.

Our next meeting will be Tuesday 10 March in the School Library. We would be thrilled to see you there. If you have any questions or suggestions for us, please contact us at parentsandfriends@sgs.nsw.edu.au.
