Newcastle Anglican
Formally known as the Anglican Diocese of Newcastle, Newcastle Anglican is a faith-based organisation, serving the people of the Hunter and Central Coast.
Our work takes place on the lands of various Aboriginal nations to whom we offer our respect.
Newcastle Anglican has been sharing the Christian faith and guiding the communities of Newcastle for more than 175 years. Our spiritual home, Christ Church Cathedral, is one of Newcastle City’s most sacred and treasured landmarks.
Anglican Care is dedicated to providing quality aged care services including home care, retirement living and residential aged care.
Our social justice service, Samaritans, offers life changing support and advocacy to youth and those in need.
Newcastle Anglican Schools invest in children and young people and offer a holistic approach to education. We have two early childcare centres and four schools. Bishop Tyrrell Anglican College, Lakes Grammar School, Manning Valley Anglican College and Scone Grammar educate a combined 3,000 students. We have a continuing link with Newcastle Grammar School.
Newcastle Anglican’s vision is for people to flourish because of what we do, inspired by the way of Jesus. It’s through our parishes, agencies and schools that our vision is brought to life.
We have six core values; compassion, integrity, justice, faith, courage and wisdom.
We are committed to providing quality services. This is reflected in our service philosophy; reliability, individuality, dignity, and empowerment.
