To enrich the formal academic curriculum at Scone Grammar School, students may participate in a range of co-curricular programmes also offered at our School.
Sport is an important component of Scone Grammar School’s co-curricular programme. The School offers a wide variety of sports including swimming, athletics, netball, cricket, crossfit, basketball, cross country, equestrian, football, rowing, shooting, rugby union, rugby league, tennis, touch football, and hockey to name a few. Physical activity and regular exercise is proven to be highly beneficial, improving cognitive function and concentration levels, giving our school a holistic approach to education.
Our students are encouraged to participate in all levels and areas of sport for not only the physical benefits but also to develop their social networks, academic performance, resilience and teamwork skills.
Students participate in school sport on a weekly basis and are given the opportunity to excel further with our representative pathways which are provided by the following:
Secondary
HRIS (Hunter Region Independent Schools)
AICES (Association of Independent Co-Educational Schools)
CIS (Combined Independent Schools)
NSW All Schools
The School has great success with sport, with many of our students succeeding to high levels including NSWPSSA and All Schools.
